Update - 29th October 2009

October has been a quiet month on the front of the FFL but things are preceed with some pace here in the background.

First off, we got the pilot episode of our podcast out and you can download it here.  A big thank you to Mr Moore and Mr Wilson for giving up their Saturday afternoon and to those of you who have already listened and come back with some great constructive criticism.  Mr Moore and I will be heading back into the "studio"  on Saturday 7th so if you want to write in with your film or game related questions then please do so.

More importantly, in game related news Mr Smith has been working away on the new game system as is preparing to release the beta version.  For those of you who signed up to help us test the game then this means you'll be getting a mail soon with some non public links to the site.  So far we have the star pricings all set up and you can start to browse and look for bargains.  I'll also be finalising the rules this week so you can all find out exactly how the new game is going to work.  We have made some changes to the rules to allow you to play a bit more tactically but essentially it's the same game you all know.

Once our beta testers have given the system a good checking we will then release it to the main site. At that point it is locked but if you are browsing through and see a glaring omission (I forgot Matt Damon on my first pass) then please let us know.

Things are all set for our March launch and we hope to get most of the features to you well before this time.  There will be a few more additions to the site over the coming months and one of the first things you will notice is that the Facebook and Twitter feeds on the side of the main page will dissaper.  Don't worry though as we will still be updating both of these (usually at different times of the day with different things). So if you have not already joined the fans/followers now's your chance.

Keep an eye out for the new rules,

Mr Birch
